Guidelines for Abstract Submission
The official language of the conference is English, and abstracts and full papers must be prepared and submitted in English. The preparation of abstracts and papers must follow the templates provided below. All formatting and style should strictly adhere to these templates. Please note that all conference posters must be prepared in A0 size. Submissions will be handled primarily through the Microsoft CMT system and must be completed online.

Engineering Science and Technology, an International Journal
Engineering Science and Technology, an International Journal (JESTECH) is an open-access journal indexed in SCI and Scopus, ranked in the Q1 quartile, with a 2025 impact factor of 5.4.
Journal of Materials and Mechatronics: A
Journal of Materials and Mechatronics is an international journal indexed in TR Dizin and will publish a Special Issue in December 2026 exclusively featuring high-quality papers selected from the TRiboSurf'26.
Ordu University Journal of Science and Tecnology
Ordu University Journal of Science and Tecnology, is an international journal indexed in TR Dizin and will publish a regular issue in June 2027.
Turkish Journal of Materials is indexed in Google Scholar, ROAD (Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources), OpenAIRE, ASOS Index, Semantic Scholar, and Index Copernicus International.
İTÜ Metalurji ve Malzeme Mühendisliği Dergisi
The journal is indexed in The Online Journal Platform and Indexing Association (OJOP).
Additional journals will be included.
Selected articles will be invited for full manuscript submission to the following journals and will be considered for publication in a regular (or in a special issue dedicated to TRiboSurf'26), upon the journals’ regular peer-review and editorial evaluation processes.
Poster Presentation Competition
The TRiboSurf’26 Poster Competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students who registered for the conference. Participating students will demonstrate their engagement in high-quality research with an ability to present their research professionally and effectively to the jury during the dedicated poster presentation sessions.

The competition will be held in person, and participants should be available during the designated Poster Session when the Jury visits the poster exhibition area.

Only undergraduate and graduate students with a valid proof (e.g., Student ID card) will be admitted to the competition.

Competitors are responsible for the printing of their research poster in A0 size.

Only 1 poster/abstract is permitted for each participant.

Evaluation Criterion:
The entries will be judged on:

Background provides an appropriate perspective/context for the subject

Objectives/research questions are clearly stated

Research design/methods/modeling is appropriate and transparent

Data sources and/or sampling procedures are clear and appropriate
-
Research objectives are met/addressed
-
Factual information is kept separate from interpretations or implications

Abstract is presented in an unbiased manner

Clarity of presentation
Awards:
Participants who get 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be awarded by our sponsors.
Selection of Jury Members:

Prior to the conference, TriboSurf’26 holds a Call for Judges, where registered attendees can sign up to be an on-site research award judge.

Judges are asked to select their field of interest based on their research expertise.

Undergraduate and graduate students are not eligible to be a poster presentation competition jury member.
